About This Job
This position supports the strategic direction of the Bank's Commercial Digital business by leading a scrum team to assure the quality of strategic and high priority applications. You will organize the project team through all phases of the SDLC, implementing enhancements and maintaining our applications, while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.
Successful candidates must be a self-starter possessing a broad base of analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, superior organizational skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment. This role requires demonstrated organization skills; ensuring activities are planned and executed to achieve project deliverables. Successful candidates will also have strong skills in mentoring team members, solid communication skills, be highly collaborative, and have proven elicitation and facilitation skills in addition to robust documentation skills. The ideal candidate will be highly technical and proactive in improving the efficiency and performance of processes.
As a Business Analyst/Scrum Master, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a scrum team, including running the Agile process and ensuring the team has well defined and actionable work. This includes working with the line of business and digital product managers to gather requirements, writing user stories, user acceptance testing and facilitating agile ceremonies.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with business partners across multiple business lines to develop and write user stories, which includes writing acceptance criteria
- Develop deep expertise in product and provide training and mentorship to others
- Facilitate agile ceremonies - daily stand-up, refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives
- Review and provide feedback on design and UX flow
- Manage team velocity and backlog - including prioritization of work
- Remove obstacles and distractions that may impede the team from meeting goals
- Perform acceptance testing daily
- Perform implementation and release planning
- Manage resolution of any issues found during an install
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of writing business requirements, including best practices
- Ability to communicate clearly & effectively with multiple technical & non-technical groups
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Innovative, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Azure Dev Ops/TFS, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 3+ years of experience writing business requirements required
- 1+ year experience working on an Agile/Scrum Team required
- Scrum Master Certification preferred
- Experience with Agile methodology preferred

At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $60,000 to $81,000 annually.
