IT Business Analyst I

Allegion is seeking an IT Business Analyst I to join our ERP and business transformation delivery team. Primary responsibilities will include analyzing, specifying, proposing, and partnering with subject matter experts to define the best solutions to meet business needs using knowledge and expertise around the Microsoft AX and Dynamics Finance and Operations ERP systems. The primary focus areas with the business will be Sales Order Management, operations, and Supply Chain. This person will apply proven communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills ensuring alignment with IT and overall business transformation strategies. The IT Business Analyst I formulates, recommends, and helps validate solutions that can be applied regionally and globally.

What you will do:

• Gather requirements, analyze, and create functional specifications, research and understand Dynamics Finance and Operations ERP (D365) setups and configuration options
• Learn around all aspects of the Allegion business while capturing complex business requirements and researching options to support the needs
• Define ideal and practical business system solutions while driving standardization within the business work streams
• Document and test proposed solutions, ensuring business partner understanding and acceptance
• Work with business users to create and execute end to end test cases that cover multiple business scenarios
• Collaborate with other Business Analysts and ERP Developers to ensure functional spec designs are understood and technically executed correctly
• Participate in active partnerships with key business users to look for ways to further optimize system usage and best practices
• Actively engage in supporting current future strategic ERP deployments and implementations globally
• Work across multiple locations and business partners to understand and help develop global/regional system and process improvements
• Analyze and challenge existing processes and assumptions to help define the best solutions to meet the current and future business needs
• Reinforce the business drivers to promote the usage of standard ERP functionality where possible
• Actively support rapid and continuous improvement events by providing a combined view of business and system processes and opportunities

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
• 1+ years experience working within large manufacturing (multi-national) or distribution operations
• 1+ years experience working with or implementing ERP Application functionality - with emphasis on Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing related business activities
• Understanding of end to end sales life cycle processes
• Experience supporting upgrades and/or application implementations
• Experience developing comprehensive business requirements, functional design documents, completing impact assessments, and contributing to business cases that identify value of the change
• Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate effectively with others in person and remotely
• Solid knowledge around Microsoft SureStep methodology
• Excellent communication skills with all levels. Proven ability to lead and communicate orally, in written documents, and in formal presentations is required
• Team player, change agent, and customer-driven mentality
• Analytical approach to problem-solving, solid conceptual skills and willingness to learn, sense of urgency and commitment for a job well done.
• Strong work ethic, results oriented
• Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and participate in multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Base understanding of data integrity and audit / compliance procedures
• Up to 50-75% travel at times

Bonus Points:

• Applicable Techno-functional knowledge within Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations ERP is a big plus
• Basic familiarity with relational databases (MS-SQL), PowerBI and reporting concepts
• Comfortable using SQL and other tools to work with data for ad hoc analysis
• Prefer experience working on a global (multi-Region) ERP project
