Job Description

As an IT Business Analyst III with Frost, you will apply a high level of technical application support experience to complex technology related activities of considerable difficulty and importance. Responsibilities will include assisting in the resolution of complex processing and production problems of application systems; performing necessary testing, follow-up and communication to maintain quality assurance; planning, organizing and coordinating complex technology oriented projects or phases of large projects focusing on resource conflicts, key dependencies, issues, assumptions, and re-engineering opportunities; becoming familiar with all affected functions, analyzing existing procedures and alternatives, conceiving and designing technical configurations and project plans; coordinating systems and programming efforts with assigned staff support; reviewing and evaluating the results of these activities within the framework of the project plan; coordinating with the affected business user to document the business case and user requirements to establish specifications and scope of work to meet user expectations for functionality; monitoring the development and implementation of new initiatives to improve systems analysis, design, development and support, while adhering to process requirements; assisting, counseling and advising systems and IT staff, business analysts, and bank application users in meeting objectives of quality product design, development and implementation; providing leadership and guidance in any other special projects involving technology, i.e. bank acquisitions, new financial centers, re-engineering, data quality and system conversions or installations; under the direction of a Segment Manager, overseeing the development of new staff in teaching processes and procedures; leading by example by coordinating daily activities with co-workers; offering leadership and guidance to newer staff in developing skills in application processes and procedures; and assisting in the cross training of staff to develop growth opportunities while establishing backup for other applications. The candidate will work under the direction of a Segment Manager or Project Manager, assist in the definition, design, development and deployment of related technology projects.

Required:

• 5+ years related IT industry experience
• Multi-tasking, self starter
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical and logical reasoning skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Experience with gathering and documenting requirements
• Experience with developing test plans/scripts

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree
• Technical Experience in the Financial Industry
• Experience in use of automated test tools is a plus
• Experience guiding and advising less experience business analysts
• Commercial and/or Consumer Lending Experience
