This team is part of the PMO and are responsible for End to End Project Delivery across enterprise software projects This Business Analyst will work along the entire project acting as a bridge between the business and technology.

Once projects are launched, siloed Functional Analyst take over, This Business Analyst needs excellent communication skills, some Data Analysis and Process Discovery perhaps, requirements gathering, Current/Future state analysis and documentation, etc. Any tools like Excel, SQL, Querying, Jira and SharePoint are very helpful

Responsibilities of the IT Business Analyst Job in Rochester, NY:

Works with user communities to document current state and future state process and conduct gap analysis for assigned projects.

Works with user communities to understand and document business requirements for assigned projects.

Delivers assigned tasks in alignment with project plans and estimates. Includes, participation in project communications/meetings to promote and communicate project goals, timeframe and high-level changes.

Participates in design reviews and code/configuration walkthroughs with technical, functional and/or vendor teams.

Works closely with Quality Assurance Analyst, and functional and technical testers to prepare test plans, test data and complete integrated testing.

Evaluates business processes to identify needs, problems and opportunities, and develops strategies to maximize opportunities/value delivery.

Engages with business leaders and users to understand how data-driven changes to process, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value.

Writes business cases for future potential projects in collaboration with manager and/or team lead.

Participates in estimation and planning of future work.

Participates in retrospective events with a continuous improvement mindset.

Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities.

Share knowledge, provides cross-training, peer support and participates in team meetings.

Participates effectively as a "Team Member".

Serves on committees and attends meetings as requested.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Data Science or Engineering

Experience: 2-3 years of related experience; or 4 to 5 years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or an equivalent combination of education training and/or experience.
