IT Business Development Writer II

Position Purpose: Review all new customer requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs) and develop written responses with a focus on Centene's Information Technology capabilities and solutions.

Write, edit, and review responses to complex RFPs and RFIs as it relates to Information Technology and Operations across multiple product lines

Analyze and interpret complex government requirements and write compelling responses within tight deadlines

Research and monitor current market environment including industry trends, competitor landscape, provider, and legal developments in related industries

Assess implications to Centene's Information Technology and Operations departments, conduct market and competitive analysis, and make recommendations to drive innovation and strategy related to technology in RFP responses

Lead discussions with IT and business partners to clarify RFP related program objectives, develop response narratives and identify opportunities to bring new technology solutions to market

Collaborate with technical SMEs to understand system capabilities and product offerings. Translate offerings into language easily understood by customers

Participate in recommendations for potential company differentiators related to technology, win themes and response content

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Communication or related field. Master's degree preferred. 3+ years of proposal development, marketing research, or IT business analysis experience. Information Technology related experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio and Power PointExperience with design applications including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign preferred. Exposure to the healthcare industry preferred.
