POSITION SUMMARY

Serve as the primary IT contact for specific business areas regarding technology needs and projects. Assist business units in their management of portfolio of IT solutions. This includes monitoring important contract dates, contract SLAs, planning future upgrades, searching for replacement systems with better functionality, configuring systems for use in our environment, and identifying additional existing features to maximize their productivity.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Monitors portfolio of applications/solutions for specific business areas regarding contract renewals, achievement of SLA, and identifying existing/future technical concerns.
  • Works with business units to identify new applications or to plan upgrades of existing applications to the most current versions.
  • Searches for potential future applications by following industry trends, attending webinars, and conferences.
  • Gathers and interprets information from multiple sources (including databases, interviews, etc.) and makes recommendations.
  • Creates detailed business requirements for functional (e.g., business processes, rules) and technical (e.g., data, security) capabilities.
  • Provides support for application development teams including documenting business processes.
  • Leads and conducts meetings, facilitate workshops and present to stakeholders and project team.
  • Participates in developing estimates, project plans, and implementation plans for technical solutions.
  • Partners with project management and applications teams to develop project schedules, reports, and documentation.
  • Validates test cases to ensure that scripts will evaluate the business function being performed.
  • Assists business units with system configuration.
  • Performs basic quality assurance testing before turning over to business for user acceptance testing.
  • All compliance training for your position must be completed each year.
  • Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years banking experienceor equivalent experience in a business analyst/BSA role from another industry.
  • Data skills and experience using reporting tools.
  • Previous experience with Cognos or Tableau is a plus.
  • Possesses a natural curiosity of how business areas work and how technology can provide solutions to address internal and external client needs.
  • Must be a quick learner, capable of understanding different lines of business and applications.
  • Excellent time management skills: able to multi-task, prioritize activities, and understand needs vs. wants.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of asking insightful questions and explaining technical information.
  • Able to document reports, specifications, and plans.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with employees at all levels, including senior executives.


EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certification in project management or business analysis is desirable.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent local travel for meetings. Occasional non-local travel for conferences, seminars, or training.
