IT Business Systems Analyst

Summary: Nuance Communications, Inc. is looking to fill an immediate need of a Functional resource in the Business Systems group within the IT organization. This position is responsible for the functional implementation and support of Oracle Applications, documenting business and functional requirements, process flows, as well as managing user acceptance testing and training. The individual will work closely with business users and technical teams to aid with the delivery of solutions that will enhance user efficiencies, user experience and productivity. This position will also be responsible for analysis, design, and re-engineering of business processes.
The right candidate must be disciplined, dynamic and flexible to work on multiple projects, be an excellent team player, work effectively in a rapidly changing environment and meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines. Candidate must be a self-starter, who can work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications -

• Provide functional implementation support for ERP Applications with experience in one or more of the following processes: Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Quote to Cash, Project Management and Contracts.
• Participate in the implementation of Oracle Applications module and functionality enhancements
• Write business requirements, use cases and functional requirements for new functionality or modifications to existing functionality and translate those requirements into design specifications. Understand what functionality is available as well as what has already been implemented. Advise on new solutions for enterprise business applications. Understand the impact a process change might have on the system and be able to guide process definitions accordingly.
• Research implementation alternatives and provide design recommendations to both user community and technical team.
• Coordinate with development team and project manager throughout development lifecycle to ensure requirements are developed and delivered to specification.
• Participate in the development of test scripts, test execution activities, and sign-off test results related to application changes, facilitate user acceptance testing.
• Provide functional support and training for all Oracle Applications end-users, including the development of User Guides.
• Participate in process improvement activities and metrics.
• Work with the PMO (Project Management Office), identify tasks and timelines for the implementation of solutions in support of business objectives.
• Follow defined processes for ticket, patch, releases and change management. Perform root cause analysis.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, BI and Analytics, Business Analysis or equivalent
Number of Years of Work Experience: 1 - 3 years of professional experience working with ERP applications
REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience as an Oracle Functional team member on a major implementation, including experience facilitating analysis, requirement gathering and design working sessions with business users.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment within the Business System's group as well as other groups within the IT and business organizations.
• Proven track record of delivering ERP solutions
• Experience with Oracle R12 or ERP Cloud applications
• Self-starter, who can work independently, follows through and completes tasks with a minimum of oversight
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Demonstrate creativity and flexibility to manage complex tasks and develop innovative solutions
• Exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills (Written & Spoken); capable of explaining procedures clearly and writing technical and end-user documentation.
• Plan and execute testing methods to ensure functionality works as expected.
• Exhibit flexibility in handling multiple tasks in this fast-paced IT environment.
• Ability to partner effectively with diverse contributors across multiple teams (Professional Services, Finance, IT) and influence without authority to promote alignment and gain consensus.
• Ability to interact remotely with colleagues in various geographical locations and countries
• Critical attention to detail and ability to maintain detailed project documentation
