THE POSITION

In this role, the incumbent will perform IT functional duties in support of the delivery of advanced business system design, analysis and programming products on schedule and in accordance with client requirements and global standards. The incumbent will work with all areas of the shop floor and its incorporation to other shop floor and ERP systems to resolve process and operational issues. Because of the nature of this business (i.e. manufacturing 24x7) a successful candidate is expected to perform after hours or holiday support.

General Responsibilities:• Local IT incident manager for all manufacturing execution and IT shop floor applications.• Support applications within the Continental Manufacturing Suite.• Synchronization of the execution of preparation, tire building, and curing machines with the ERP layer and the tracking and quality reporting for the material on the shop floor.• Manage, monitor, and optimize local applications and database instances• Plan, lead, and oversee project activities to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints delivering business value.• Designs, develops, and documents custom applications, reports, scripts, and IT automation, and provide solutions to issues or streamline the current manufacturing and business processes.• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related IT field.• 2 years of working experience in web based and client-server software development using Microsoft .NET, C# and/or VB.NET• 2 years of working experience in relational database management systems using Microsoft SQL Server and SQL development (Queries, Stored Procedure, Functions, etc.)• 1 years of developing and designing reports using SSRS, PowerBI, Report Designer, and other data analytics platform• 1 year of experience in manufacturing industry within an IT or Business function.• 1 Experience working with manufacturing execution systems (MES)• Programming experience in object-oriented design and web development using Visual Studio, C#/VB.NET, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, JavaScript, HTML, AJAX, CSS, IIS, Web services, etc. • Experience in relational database management systems and SQL language using Microsoft SQL Server• Advanced report writing with SQL Reporting Services• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Office automation tools such as Macros, VBA, and VB scripts• Hands on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Having experience in an automotive manufacturing work environment is a plus.
