A Brief Summary of This Position:
The person in this role is a Change Management Practitioner with experience driving significant technology changes, with a focus on the human aspect. Working cross-functionally, you will integrate structured change management methodologies and best practices to help the organization successfully transition through change, drive adoption, and make the future state a reality.
This individual will play a key role in analyzing business requirements and assisting project teams with achieving documented benefits and results of the proposed initiative including scope, cost, schedule, and user adoption. They will provide direct support and coaching to all levels of leadership to become change sponsors. This role will prepare the leadership to assist their direct reports through transitions by educating on best practices and creating relevant reference materials. This person will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into the project stage gate plans.

This individual will drive Change Management efforts by engaging stakeholders, sponsors, technical resources, project teams, customers, and end-users through creation and execution of Communications Plans, Sponsor Roadmaps, Coaching, Resistance Management, and Training plans.

Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. 15% travel requirements for this position (domestic and international). The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Essential Functions:
- This position reports into the Vice President, Service Delivery Effectiveness and has no direct reports
- This role requires up to 15% international and domestic travel, including overnight stays
- Hybrid, flexible schedule with the ability to report into the office 2-3 days/week
- Utilize established methods and practices to design, develop, deliver and manage the change program for each assigned project
- Strong advocate with the ability to articulate and address project risks, constraints, and user impacts
- Assess the change impact by completing the impact analysis and change readiness assessment and partner with the key stakeholders to address the opportunities highlighted
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate effectively with business leaders, technology professionals, and end users
- Analyze the business needs and understand user and stakeholder concerns, as well as change management needs and transformational goals
- Collaborate with Valmont business segments, product owners and project teams to build synergies around processes and roll out plans to drive the transformation
- Facilitate demos and brainstorming discussions to solve the business challenges
- Apply change management methodologies and tools to create a strategy to support the "new way of working"
- Develop, manage and implement training plans and communication schedules understanding and applying industry best practices
- Own the design and delivery of training programs and support training efforts by providing input and document requirements
- Conduct and/or actively participate in meetings related to the designated projects, both locally and internationally, with clients and/or partners.
- Direct the cross-functional change management activities
- Work effectively with people at all levels to solve conflicts, understand and diagnose the causes of change resistance and initiate corrective action
Other Important Details about the Role:
This individual will drive Change Management efforts by engaging stakeholders, sponsors, technical resources, project teams, customers, and end-users through creation and execution of Communications Plans, Sponsor Roadmaps, Coaching, Resistance Management, and Training plans.
- Complete change management assessments
- Create actionable deliverables for the five elements of successful change: Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement (ADKAR)
- Integrate change management activities into project plans
- Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
- Ability to foresee problems thinking through scenarios from Day 1 through sustainment and prepare materials, knowledge base and arrange resources to ensure a positive experience through the change management cycle
- Consult and coach project teams on usability and user experience
- Support and engage senior leaders
- Coach managers and supervisors
- Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate efforts with other specialists
- Evaluate and ensure user readiness
- Manage stakeholder expectations
- Track and report issues
- Define and implement metrics to monitor change progress and overall success
- Support change management at the organizational level
- Remain active in external networks to proactively integrate new/enhanced methodologies
- Actively participate in the development of the functional area/digital global strategy
- Maintain proficiency in Agile development methodologies and demonstrate understanding of the product owner role
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Associate's Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or 9+ years relevant experience
- Preferred Change Management Industry certification(s) (such as Prosci ADKAR CCP, or ACMP CCMP) OR 7+ years' relevant work experience practicing change management
- Exceptional English language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Direct experience utilizing the principles, methodologies, and tools to ensure successful change adoption
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the enterprise
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal, understand, and diagnose the causes of change resistance and initiate corrective action
- Flexible and adaptable; able to navigate ambiguous situations
- Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
- Forward looking and solutions-oriented with a holistic approach
- Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
- Problem solving and root cause identification skills
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
- Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
- A demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders
- Ability to execute work in a matrixed environment
- Ability to travel globally up to 15% of the time based on the business needs
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint

- Master's Degree
- Change Management Industry certification(s) (such as Prosci ADKAR CCP, or ACMP CCMP)
- Relevant project management or other professional certifications
