Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an IT Communications Lead located in Austin, TX OR 100% Remote. This role is part of a small, but mighty team of communicators supporting function communications for Flex.

Reporting to the Director, Function Communications, the IT Communications Lead is responsible for developing and driving effective internal communications strategies and campaigns that increase tool and platform adoption, demonstrate our digital leadership, and cultivate an engaged IT workforce. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communicator looking to break into a large, global Fortune 500 organization.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Partner with IT leadership, user experience and cyber security teams to create, coordinate, and produce clear, compelling communications that help employees leverage digital tools to do their jobs most efficiently, effectively, and safely and help the company achieve business results
  • Build and iterate on the IT communications strategy and plan, forecasting communications needs and streamlining requests to deliver high-quality communications as efficiently as possible
  • Develop, manage, and publish IT communications including email announcements, videos, presentations, meetings/webinars, social posts and more, ensuring content has the right message and is delivered in the right format to resonate with the target audience
  • Align on messaging, communication vehicles, and timing with partners across the Marketing, Communications and Sustainability organization
  • Connect with technical experts, senior leaders, and marketing partners to advance communications
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and continuously improve upon the strategy, deliverables, and partnership to achieve business results


The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in employee communications and change management, technical emphasis preferred
  • Knowledge of AP Style, strong writing and editing skills
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting, intranet, and email platforms
  • Experience producing newsletters, email campaigns and events
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Distilling complex information into succinct, easy to understand content
  • Working independently and proactively to craft communications strategy, manage deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Writing, editing, and formatting content to deliver quality communications across a variety of formats including intranet, email, and events
  • Partnering with designers, regions, and other teams to ensure alignment and maximum efficiency and reach.
