Job Overview

The IT Compliance Analyst Level I will play a crucial role in ensuring that Right Networks adheres to regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology, a deep understanding of compliance requirements, and excellent analytical and communication skills. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment, identify potential risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures. This role will report into the GRC and Data Privacy Manager.

This is a remote work position.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate the organization's IT systems, processes, and policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, legal, and other relevant departments to develop, maintain, and update compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits, assessments, and reviews of IT systems and processes to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation of compliance activities, including audit findings, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of compliance-related initiatives, such as employee training programs, policy updates, and remediation efforts.
  • Monitor changes in relevant regulations and industry best practices and advise management on the potential impact on the organization's IT systems and processes.
  • Assist in the development of IT risk management strategies and mitigation plans to address identified compliance risks.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on IT compliance matters, providing guidance and support to other departments as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant regulatory authorities, industry groups, and external auditors.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT compliance, IT risk management, or IT audit, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Familiarity with common IT systems, tools, and technologies, such as network infrastructure, cloud computing, and data management.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
