IT Contract Specialist

The IT Contract Specialist is responsible for maintaining our library of existing contracts, monitoring and activating renewals, negotiating with vendors, and managing scopes of work to acquire goods or services Enviva IT department. A successful candidate will be highly organized with excellent attention to detail. 

Responsibilities

• Manage the library of IT contracts and renewals to ensure completeness, accuracy, and status of all current IT contracts.
• Track contract renewals for timely execution.
• Monitor Purchase Order spend over time, to confirm timing of spend against expected period of performance.
• Collaborate with the Enviva Legal and Procurement teams to align IT contracts, scopes of work, and quotes to enterprise standards and requirements.
• Submit purchase requisitions and ensure vendors are compliant with the terms of the resulting Purchase Orders.
• Evaluate existing IT contracts for potential cost savings.
• Negotiate price and terms with vendors.
• Lead the onboarding of new vendors, reviewing service/contract changes, identifying, and resolving escalated issues
• Act as the interface between suppliers and Enviva, including keeping vendors informed on developments in the organization or changes in market conditions that might affect demand for vendors' products or services
• Work with IT department leaders to ensure that vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering quality products and services on time
• Perform ongoing performance management to monitor delivery, quality, and budget in partnership with IT leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or contract administration
• Experience with IT concepts, including software & hardware licensing, SaaS agreements, and technical scopes of work.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Clear adherence to company policies and procurement rules & regulations.
• Knowledge of negotiation best practices, both in-person and in written form, that considers cultural norms and the client's best interests.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an impeccable mastery of the English language.
• Vendor negotiation experience

Travel requirements

• Ability to travel to domestic or international locations, including day trips and overnight. 

Working Conditions

• Ability to work off-hours, including evenings and weekends on short notice

Physical Requirement

• Primarily computer-based work requiring extended periods of sitting at a computer, typing, but may also including standing, walking, carrying or lifting (up to 50 lbs) in support of team tasks.
