Ascendis Pharma is a fast-growing biopharmaceutical company with locations in Denmark, Germany, and the United States. We are applying our TransCon technology to build a leading, fully integrated biopharmaceutical company with an independent pipeline of long-acting prodrug therapies that address unmet patient needs.

As our new IT Data Analyst, you will:

Serve as the dedicated data analyst for the US commercial business area

Design interface with data partners and onboard data from external and internal sources

Develop data from raw data to data mart including quality checks

Build visualizations and tabular models in Power BI

Support the business users with training and adjustments to the visualizations

Work with application teams supporting the commercial business areas to ensure process alignment

Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders such as IT Infrastructure, QA, Business Owners, Software vendors etc., to ensure progress

You hold a relevant academic degree - minimum a Bachelor's degree of Data science, Computer science or a degree in Business with a data angle - and 5 years of experience within a related role in a in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment.

Furthermore, you have:

Strong knowledge and experience with one or more of the following: tabular models, Power BI, DAX, SQL, Kimball data modelling, good data analytics methodologies and other data analytics discipline.

Preferred IT Business analysis, project management experience with good understanding of Agile methodologies.

Experience in helping across all aspects of data life cycle

Knowledge of Data Integrity, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, SOX and other regulatory requirements or policies is preferred.

Also, you are proficient in English at a professional level, both written and spoken.

You will join the Ascendis Pharma Global IT, Continuous Delivery organization, consisting of product teams delivering to business value streams.

You will be part of the Data Team which consist of 3 internal employees and 9 external consultants based in Copenhagen, Denmark and is currently expanding the local presence in Princeton. The team is known for their high-pace, multi-skill competencies, honesty and passion for supporting the business.

The US commercial organization, which you will be supporting as your primary customers, is based in Princeton, US. In the US there are other IT colleagues to work with and business stakeholders. On a daily basis you be in contact with the Data Team in Copenhagen, and 4 out of 5 days of the week you will be participating in morning meetings.

In the interim you will be reporting to Commercial and Medical Business Partner Ivanna Rosendal. Over time you will report directly to Satish Kukkapalli, People Leader of Global IT who is based in Palo Alto, California. Furthermore, you will also be reporting to the Data Team from a functional perspective.

Travel: 15-20 days per year.
