THE ROLE: IT DIRECTOR
The IT Director is responsible for defining and driving all aspects of the IT strategy and overseeing all IT functions at OLLY. The role reports to the VP Finance and based in our downtown SF office. The IT Director will create a secure, reliable and high performing IT infrastructure. Working with Unilever’s Tech team, the role will ensure a safe work environment and build a high performance tech platform. The IT Director will manage our IT Operations Manager and 3rd party IT consultants who are responsible for the day-to-day IT support across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership, vision and direction regarding the Company’s IT systems and services to ensure alignment and contribution to Company and Department goals and objectives
- Define and implement the strategy and objectives for the transformation of IT processes, capabilities and operating model in support of growth and Unilever’s standards and expectations
- Partner with Unilever’s Tech team to deliver major tech projects for OLLY
- Partner with Unilever’s Cyber Security team to develop the corporate IT security strategy
- Foster a business-oriented culture that reinforces alignment between IT and the business functions
- Develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for the IT function to ensure consistency with overall strategic objectives
- Oversee contingency planning and IT security and compliance by establishing controls and processes in support of data security, PHI, SOX, GDPR, HIPAA and other relevant regulatory requirements
- Partner with VP Finance to lead change management across IT vendors and OLLY employees to ensure effective communication regarding IT applications
- Provide management oversight for strategic partner relationships and vendor contracts
- Manage third party IT service provider while ensuring all IT objectives are meet
- Establish, monitor, and report on of Service Level Targets / Key Performance Indicators (SLTs/KPIs) in the service of employees and Company strategy
- Regularly engage with Ollies to see “how things are going”, address concerns and educate/share helpful tips and tricks
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement projects and technology improvements
- Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and pricing - advise, counsel, and educate internal partners on their competitive or financial impact
CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
- 7-9+ years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in IT engineering and management, experience in CPG industry is preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with cybersecurity issues and a establishing strategy
- A strong people leader with the ability to guide, mentor and inspire teams
- Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft outlook, One note, Microsoft team and SharePoint is a MUST
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical people to enhance understanding, teach new skills and drive decisions to positive outcomes
- Ability to utilize critical thinking to troubleshoot issues, work collaboratively with a team to brainstorm solutions, and implement improvement solutions
- Extensive technical knowledge of Mac OSX and Windows 10
- Demonstrated experience managing IT services and solutions related to Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, Regulatory and ERP landscape
- Demonstrated capability in managing and executing IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate an enterprise IT vision that inspires and motivates Ollies and aligns to the IT and business strategy
- Strong organizational skills and experience building consensus
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with functional leaders, key stakeholders and external partners to champion change across the organization
- Outstanding customer service/work ethic
- Dedication to personal and professional accountability - you ask questions, learn quickly and find solutions
