The Role

As the IT Director, you will work with a fun, cross-functional team to define and drive the strategic technology direction for Metropolis. On this team, you will get to work with the latest technology while having a direct impact on creating solutions. You will be responsible for understanding business challenges and implementing technology solutions to improve our processes, increase revenue, minimize risk, and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the IT team and the technology roadmap for a rapidly growing enterprise

• Provide technology leadership and support for new IT and security projects to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and budget goals

• Stay informed of trends and issues within the IT industry, including emerging technologies and applications and act as an advisor to internal customers in making technology decisions

• Be actively involved in vendor management, negotiations and contract management for all key technology needs

• Oversee all IT processes ensuring excellent customer service and efficiency for all requests, incidents and change management activities

• Utilize metrics, dashboards, and leadership skills to drive a culture of continuous improvement

• Interface with departments throughout the organization to understand strategies and develop project and process improvement plans to enable those strategies

Requirements 

• 10+ years of Information Technology experience with 5+ years managing one or more IT functions

• A proven track record of implementing forward thinking technology-based solutions and preferred experience with data center management, cloud-computing, web applications, system integrations, and mobile computing

• Passionate and humble leader with proven ability to successfully lead a team of cross-functional individuals

• Ability to show effective communication, innovative ideas, analytical abilities, and passion for technology with a strong focus on ensuring team members are successful and happy
