How You’ll Make a Difference

The IT Director of Enterprise Applications will have primary responsibility for identifying, planning, developing, and maintaining the business IT systems for supporting various Arcellx departments including Finance, Commercial, Quality, R&D, etc. This leader is expected to be a partner with the business functions and contribute as a cross-functional leader in support of Arcellx growth and expansion.  This leader will bring a strategic growth and entrepreneurial mindset to business challenges and opportunities and ensure a strong team is developed and maintained within IT to deliver new innovations and maintain ongoing operation.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge and experience in leading business IT programs and systems for organizations similar to Arcellx and bring cross-functional leadership and communication skills.  Additionally, experience in managing third party vendor partnerships and recruiting and developing talent for competitive advantage will be important.  Experience in various SaaS-based applications and ERP systems such as Netsuite (or a similar ERP system), and a knowledge of new technologies and systems for overall business functions is desired.  This leader will also ensure all systems requiring GxP and Validation as well as additional SOX controls are maintained to the highest level of compliance.

The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do

  • Develop and sustain the enterprise applications for Arcellx in support of current and future basic operations for finance, manufacturing, and regulatory functions such as quality and clinical research.
  • Manage third party vendor relationships through contracting, expense tracking, opportunities for future functionality and growth, and ongoing health.
  • Be the primary contact for key business functions in Arcellx including Finance, Commercial, Quality, R&D, Clinical Research, Human Resources, and other non-commercial areas as appropriate.
  • Participate with cross functional senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives and make decisions on implementation and ensures operational effectiveness.
  • Translate business strategies into functional IT plans and guides execution.
  • Partner with our finance team and audit organizations to ensure the highest level of compliance with internal and external controls and regulations.
  • Train and mentor both direct and indirect reports in IT best practices.

Skills and Experience We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or Engineering required.  Master’s degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 10 years leadership and management experience with IT enterprise applications development and support. 15+ years’ experience preferred.
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment or comparable regulatory agencies (i.e. notified bodies) is preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining all appropriate and best practices controls and procedures (SOX/SOD, SOC, GxP, etc).
  • Working in an FDA regulated environment or comparable regulatory agencies (i.e., notified bodies) is preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial and growth mindset with experience in building organizations and frameworks for a growing business.
  • Skills in planning and organizing teamwork effort and communicating status in a clear and concise manner to leadership.
  • Experience in IT in a regulated medical device industry supporting sales and marketing organizations.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the IT field.
  • Experience with validated systems supporting GxP, SOX, and other relevant regulatory standards.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $245,000 per year. Where a candidate falls within that range is determined by factors such as years of experience. Our compensation package also includes an annual bonus based on company goals and an equity (RSU) grant. We do offer relocation assistance for roles if required.
