Job Summary

The MES System Analyst is responsible for the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within the organization. This role involves working closely with manufacturing, IT, and other departments to ensure the MES system meets the needs of the business and enhances manufacturing efficiency and quality.

What a typical day looks like:
 

Key Responsibilities:

System Implementation and Support:

• Lead the implementation and configuration of MES software to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for MES-related issues.
• Ensure the MES system is integrated effectively with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, Local Application System).

Process Improvement:

• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement through MES functionalities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize workflows and enhance production efficiency. Develop and maintain documentation for MES processes and configurations.

Data Management and Reporting:

• Ensure accurate data collection and reporting within the MES system.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into manufacturing performance.
• Support data analysis initiatives to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

Training and Support:

• Provide training to end-users on MES functionalities and best practices.
• Develop training materials and user guides.
• Offer ongoing support to ensure users are proficient in using the MES system.

Project Management:

• Manage MES-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Document project plans, progress, and outcomes.

System Maintenance and Upgrades:

• Monitor the performance of the MES system and perform regular maintenance.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and patches.
• Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in IT.
• 2-5 year(s) of related IT experience in Manufacturing environment
• SQL programming and databases is a must
• Programming experience in software development with Microsoft Visual Studio / Development tools and C# programming a plus
