Job Summary:

The IT Engineer is responsible for the daily operations of Supermicro IT data center. It is a full time position and candidate is expected to have a thorough understanding of data center management. The candidate needs to fully understand HW and SW design and be able to determine the best choice is for us. The candidate will also troubleshoot and fix PDUs, networking, and HW problems. This position also needs to create test plans, perform testing, and validate designs to meet engineering requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):• Schedule preventative maintenances• Manage critical and non-critical processes in the system• Document all records, including time sheets and warranty certificates• Analyze for repairs, power usage, and system status• Manage recurring problems• Develop ideas to improve business operations• Establish and execute procedures, standards and technical trainings related to HVAC and electrical equipment operations and maintenances• Plan, organize and direct electrical and mechanical trades within data center facilities for corrective maintenance and new construction• Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of infrastructure supporting data center operations• Manage work orders and equipment history via Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)• Assist other IT groups with installation and troubleshooting for problems on routers and circuits• Conduct routine and ongoing assessment of the infrastructure systems operations• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans on less complex activities• May need to provide on-site support during non-business hours

Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in IT related fields (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.) preferred• 3+ years of experience in a technical desktop support role preferred• Ability to work flexible hours/or flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as required• Familiar with Windows/Linux Server. Maintaining operating systems• Expert in Windows OS and applications. Experience with Linux a plus• Expert in network setup and maintenance• Extensive IT and troubleshooting knowledge is a must• Strong organizational skill required to keep on top of maintenance process• Must have solid understanding of Network protocols• Experience with DCIM preferred• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds like computers, printers, monitors, and peripherals

Salary Range: $83,000 - $145,000
