Pie Insurance is looking for a technically skilled Engineer with a customer centric focus on supporting our Pie-oneers and backend technical operations. This role is responsible for executing best in class information technology practices that will ensure stakeholders have the tools and technologies to drive success across the organization. This role will drive our user experience, providing a white-glove service to all Pie-oneers. 

How You’ll Do It

  • Technical Support
    • Answers technical inquiries, diagnose reported technical problems, recommends possible solutions and resolves routine technical operations related issues.
    • Provide thoughtful white-glove service to all Pie-oneers on Tier 2 and Tier 1 support issues as needed, ensuring all technological needs are met. 
    • Provide a level of higher technical esacalation across the team, resolving issues moved vertically.
    • Build custom scripted profiles/configurations / automations in MDM systems.
    • Write Powershell scripts to create advanced automations for administration.
  • Collaboration
    • Participate in lateral discussions across the IT team
    • Communicate clearly to stakeholders, providing clear cut status updates when resolving issues.
    • Document best practices and contributes to knowledge sharing efforts
  • User Experience
    • Provide best in-class service to all stakeholders within the company
    • Work internally with IT team to ship out hardware and intake old equipment, ensuring continuity for the all Pie-oneers
    • Lead new Pie-oneers through the onboarding experience, ensuring new Pie-oneers are set up for success on Day 1.
  • Technical Aptitude and Project Management
    • Create/Maintain integrations with Okta and other SaaS tools for SSO and SCIM provisioning.
    • Work cross-functionality with other team stakeholders and maintain partnerships to ensure team needs are captured in IT workflows
    • Research and vet software tools ensuring there are no redundancies to improve efficiency, security and compliance.
    • Administration and customization of Atlassian Cloud products (Jira, Confluence, Advanced Roadmaps)

The Right Stuff

  • Experience in: SSO based solutions such as Okta, cloud based platforms such as Google Workspace, cloud based security platforms for endpoint security, conference rooms solutions such as Zoom Rooms, and operating systems such as Windows and Mac OS. Knowledge in API. Understanding of medium size enterprise networking (such as WAN, LAN, DHCP, DNS, Gateways). Ability to integrate SaaS based platforms via APIs (metadata, webhooks, etc). Understanding unification of different subsystems inside one business environment. POC for Tier 1 integrations (such as SSO + lifecycle provisioning). Experience with Atlassian Cloud (Jira/Confluence/Service Desk).

  • Understands the principles decision making, implement and review decisions based on appropriate technique. Can succeed in a rapidly changing environment Being adaptable, learn how to manage complexity and self direction.
  • Regularly takes on service issues with a sense of urgency, high-energy and enthusiasm. Has a get-it-done attitude.

Base Compensation Range

$85,000$115,000 USD

Location Information 

Unless otherwise specified, this role has the option to be hybrid or remote. Hybrid work locations provide team members with the flexibility of working partially from our Denver or DC office and from home. Remote team members must live and work in the United States* (*territories excluded), and have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
