Responsibilities:

System Administration:

• Administer and maintain servers, including hardware and software components.
• Perform routine system upgrades and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.

Network Management:

• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network problems and ensure optimal performance.
• Implement security measures to safeguard the organization's data.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
• Respond to help desk tickets and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of IT documentation.

IT Security:

• Implement and enforce security measures to protect the organization's IT assets.
• Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects.
• Work closely with other IT professionals to enhance overall system functionality.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members.

Technology Implementation:

• Assist in the planning and execution of technology implementations and upgrades.
• Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for adoption.
• Ensure the seamless integration of new technologies into existing systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ Years of proven mid-level experience working in IT roles.
• Previous work experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of system administration, network management, and IT security.
• Experience with server virtualization and cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with IT project management.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and environments.
• Knowledge of vMWare and Hyper-V
• Knowledge of Fortinet products (firewalls, access points, management software)
