IT Engineer (Power BI)

Do you love working with data and technology? Passionate about solving problems? Winnebago Industries is seeking a Power BI IT Engineer based at our Eden Prairie, MN location. This role will be responsible for administeringWinnebago Industries' Power BI (Premium) tenant and partnering with cross-functional leaders and teams to understand business objectives and develops solutions to help meet business needs. The IT Engineer will also provide technical guidance to business users in best practices for creating visualizations and reports.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Administration of Power BI Tenant, help manage workspace access, publishing business user generated reports, maintains dataset refresh schedules
• Build excellent relationships with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design, test, and publish needed dashboards and reports
• Create enterprise dashboards and reports that align with business needs and provide insights into the business.
• Assist business users in creating data visualizations and reports
• Create tabular models, enhance and modify existing models
• Manage, track, and troubleshoot data issues
• Provide best practice in data visualization
• Automate areas of manual data entry and help create automated processes
• Ensure that deliverables meet or exceed functional, technical and performance requirements
• Other duties as assigned based on business need

Critical Competencies

• Power BI datasets, T-SQL, DAX, tabular models
• Powershell, Power BI APIs
• Experience developing ETL using SQL Server SSIS, T-SQL
• Understanding of data warehouse modeling and relational database concepts
• Experience managing the lifecycle of technical solutions (SDLC)
• Deep Subject Matter Expertise within the respective system domain products, platforms, processes and architecture.
• Broad general knowledge of technology architecture, infrastructure, network, and software principles and models
• Experience working in partnership with internal and external vendors
• Experience with delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) and operational models (ITIL)
• Equipped to provide guidance on other business intelligence platforms and reporting tools as required (Tableau, Alterx etc.)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of IT experience
• 4 years of experience in BI data visualization in Power BI
• 4 years of experience in writing SQL
• This position may require travel to other Winnebago locations.
