IT Enterprise PMO and Cloud Migration Program Lead - (Hybrid Preferred, Will Consider Remote)

Allegion is seeking an experienced IT professional to develop a new Program and Project Capability, as well as lead IT server and Application Cloud Migration efforts with cross-regional and cross-functional teams. Our ideal candidate is a collaborative senior IT professional who has relevant experience and is able to enjoy working in an energizing, dynamic environment. This role requires the ability to effectively lead and influence a diverse team, both with centralizing a program management capability, and with effectively planning, leading, and managing risk and issue resolution for a complex, matrixed, multi-year program. The role will report directly to the Senior Director, Office of the CIO with a dotted line to the Senior Director, Infrastructure and Operations. Primary contacts will include executive program sponsors/responsible owners and core and extended IT and functional support team members.

What You Will Do:

  • Owns Allegion's Global IT centralized program management capability including policies, procedures and processes for global IT program delivery.
  • Owns Allegion's Global IT cloud migration program including migration of relevant on prem servers and applications
  • Partners with executive sponsors to influence and align on program management capability and specific cloud migration program goals, objectives and potential outcomes at both a long range and annual operating plan level
  • Leads alignment across technical leaders on standards and policies
  • Leads the development of the overall approach, including major time frames and the definition of major deliverables to address and meet the desired goals and outcomes.
  • Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions, in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner.
  • Directs the creation and maintenance of the required documentation and artifacts.
  • Develops and controls applicable budgets and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans.
  • Ensures and balances the availability of the required skills and competencies as applicable
  • Leads the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications and reporting.
  • Acts as an advisor, and builds and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community.
  • Oversees the execution and progress compared with the plan and the production of agreed deliverables. May assist with work breakdown structures and delivery as needed.
  • Partners closely with and extended community of pms and IT teams.
  • Partners closely with supporting functions as needed including Enterprise Architecture, IT vendor management, procurement, finance and asset management.
  • Monitors and coordinates dependencies with other capabilities (such as Agile, EA, etc.) and across projects in the program, and resolves conflicts.
  • Directs or approves the establishment of a framework or guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers, and determines their use
  • Supports and facilitates agenda setting for steering committee meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 10 or more years of experience in IT business/industry
  • Five to seven years in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs
  • Substantial consulting leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing "upward" among senior leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams
  • Experience working in a global environment, working with teams in different time zones and cultures
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategy.
  • A high level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of temperaments and personalities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and "sell" the goals and objectives to the business, as well as technical leadership.
  • Strong business acumen, including industry- and domain-specific knowledge of the organization and its business units. Familiarity with industry trends and innovation.
  • Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resources.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Ability to develop programs and deliver them with financial and resource constraints.
  • Experience with one or more project/program management methodologies
  • Knowledge of ppm planning tools and practical application, such as Microsoft Project or SmartSheet
