As a Snap Engineering team member, you’ll help us build the future of communication.

We’re looking for a Global Event Operations Technical Producer to join Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

  • Provide technical direction and leadership in support of the planning, scheduling, and delivery of live event production services at Snap

  • Lead and onboard vendors from contract to delivery in accordance with team standards and company policies: cultivate a network of global event resources, report on vendor performance, availability, and risks, and serve as liaison between vendors and internal partners

  • Act as Executive Producer, Technical Director, Show Caller, and/or Project Manager for assigned events and technical productions globally: communicate and implement Snap Inc. standards, manage technical resources within budget and client support schedule, uphold service level agreement standards and track team metrics, raise issues encountered during events, and complete detailed event reports

  • Lead the technical support lifecycle and be responsible for managing technical risks throughout support, planning, and delivery

  • Own logistic planning from end to end and supervise warehouse inventory and global asset management

  • Communicate with internal partners and team members regarding new materials and systems to ensure that they are scoped and launched in an appropriate manner

  • Build and contribute to SOPs and documentation

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understand the benefits of the various event formats (i.e. Q&A, Training, Town Hall, Broadcast, etc.) as well as how to implement these formats

  • Knowledge and skills to support the following services: video conferencing, audio conferencing, local audio reinforcement, video and graphics technologies, video recording and camera operation, Internet broadcast video streaming, network infrastructure assessment, set design, and IT operations and support.

  • Familiarity with Vectorworks, CAD, or other drafting software

  • Operation of Windows and Macintosh operating systems, network routers and wireless devices, specialty photo printers, custom new media, iPads, iPhones, Crunchy products, etc.

  • An ability to learn and work in a variety of business applications for such processes as scheduling, project tracking, vendor management, purchasing, and inventory management

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team

  • The ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed

  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs unassisted

  • Ability to regularly work in-person at a Snap office location

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical production, creative media, or other related field or equivalent years of technical production experience in a live event or corporate environment 

  • 2+ years of customer support experience in a technical environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an event environment or collaborative production setting

  • Experience working in a start-up environment or tech company

  • Experience with Jira

  • Valid California Driver's License (or the ability to obtain)

  • Valid Passport for international travel (or the ability to obtain)
