IT FP&A Specialist Intern
Job Description
Job Summary:
The IT FP&A Specialist Intern will support Viterra US' IT group with monthly reporting, annual budget, system updates, data validation, report creation, data entry, and ad-hoc projects as assigned. This role will directly report to the IT Manager, PMO for HR and direct managerial duties and indirectly report to and receive direction from the IT Vendor Management Specialist for day-to-day duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Audit of IT budget line items (both coding and allocation of spend) and documentation of evidence of spend
- Support in construction of IT's 2024 budget
- Assist with payment of invoices in a timely manner for the IT department, including coding and documentation in the Oracle Financials system
- Produce and automate monthly spend reporting to IT managers
- Audit and documentation of IT's contracts and the actual contract spend
- Partner closely with Viterra US' FP&A team to map IT budget coding to the global Viterra standard
- Identify and report on causes of variances in IT's monthly spend
- Assist the IT Vendor Management Specialist with the roll out of the new IT vendor due diligence process, including working directly with vendor contacts
- Learn Essbase, Oracle Financials, Tableau and other software
- Assist with other projects and ad-hoc items as assigned
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
- Actively working towards degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
- Ability to effectively work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly-motivated team with a strong attention to detail
- Solid analytical, organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - particularly Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Tableau and Oracle Financials preferred
- Ability to work independently
Special Demands:
- Will work in an open-concept office environment requiring prolonged periods of sitting and the ability to focus amidst surrounding activity
- Position requires operation of a computer and other standard office equipment (copier, calculator, printer)
