POSITION OVERVIEW

Our company is looking for an experienced IT Generalist with expertise in the Microsoft stack, cloud-based solutions, and AWS to join our team. The IT Generalist will be responsible for providing end-user support, managing our network infrastructure, and ensuring the security and reliability of our systems.

This IT Generalist position will sit at the 174 Power Global location in Irvine, CA reporting to the Chief Information Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with our MSP, provide end-user support for all IT related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problems
• Working with our MSP, manage our network infrastructure, including setting up and maintaining network equipment, ensuring network security, and monitoring network performance
• Ensure the security and reliability of our systems by implementing and maintaining security measures, conducting regular system backups, and performing system updates and patches
• Manage our IT assets, including inventory management and software licensing
• Participate in the selection and implementation of new IT systems and technologies, with a focus on the Microsoft stack, AWS, and other cloud-based solutions
• Document and maintain IT procedures and user guides
• Assist with IT-related projects and initiatives as needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in IT to identify opportunities for improving our systems and processes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in IT support and network administration, with expertise in the Microsoft stack and cloud-based solutions
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and other Microsoft technologies
• Experience with cloud-based solutions such as Azure, Office 365, and SharePoint
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, and RDS
• Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices
• Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM are a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant IT certifications, such as MCSE, MCSA, or AWS certifications, are a plus
