IT Help Desk

Job Summary:

The IT Help Desk Tech will work with users to troubleshoot problems with computing hardware and related electronic devices and systems. The right candidate will also be assisting the security responsibility for internal and external organizations information systems. This position is not a remote position. ACE works an alternative work schedule of Monday - Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm, 4 - 10 Hour days. Some weekends may be required to complete job projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Configures, tests, updates, and repairs computing and other office equipment.
• Performs regular preventive maintenance and diagnostic tests on computer systems.
• Maintains computer systems, servers, and backs up software.
• Assists computer operators with technical problems as needed.
• Identifies common causes of trouble such as loose connections or defective components.
• Reviews manufacturers specifications on connections and methods to locate problems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Digital marketing.
• Website development.
• Security systems.
• KPI development.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Beginning knowledge of information technology procedures and practices.
• Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• Basic Computer Skills
• Certification by the International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) or the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA) preferred, but not required. *

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to travel to offsite assignments and other locations.
• Ability to differentiate wire and cable colors as well as various audible tones.
