Job Description

The IT Help Desk/Power Platform Support role is responsible for implementing Microsoft 365 solutions for an on-site client in the DC area. This position works with a Managing Architect on-site to deploy customized solutions that meet the unique needs of the customer. The role will provide a variety of solutions ranging from on-site IT support to more complex levels of support depending on the needs identified by the customer. 

Specifically, the incumbent must be willing to be responsible for critical day-to-day support of users, devices, and systems (both on-premises and cloud based). As a M365 Consultant, they will also use their knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Entra Identity, and other platform security measures to implement secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions. The Consultant will be expected to perform a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to, infrastructure management, solution configuration/deployment, steady state support, and growth in skills pertaining to Technology that meets the client's needs. 

Finally, the role will provide an opportunity to develop expertise in working with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dynamics 365, C#, and JavaScript to help develop and deploy Dynamics 365 solutions. 

Education and Experience

  • Required Minimum Training: Graduation from a four-year college or university or equivalent training and experience in the field of work related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • 2+ years of experience designing and implementing Microsoft solutions. 
  • Entry -level knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Exchange, Microsoft 365, Entra Identity, Teams, Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Defender, and other platform features.
  • Foundational knowledge and experience with Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Power Platform, and Automation. 
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers.
  • Experience developing and editing PowerShell scripts for platform automation is preferred.

Essential Duties:

  • Help to support the on-site Support Engineer as required to provide day-to-day support on desktop/end-user support, application, and back-end systems.
  • Will help to build and/or support Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Solutions
  • Responsible to participate in customer meetings and workshops to gather requirements, understand customer needs and provide guidance on Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Collaborate with on-site Architect translating project activities to tasks including effort and dependencies.
  • Meet project expectations on quality of work, deliverables, and task completion on time.
  • Participate in internal learning opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team including cross functional teams.
  • Clearly articulate current status and articulate required action items to all project stakeholders.
  • Proactively provides process improvement or standardization.
  • Proactively assist in setting expectations and managing to scope.
