IT Infrastructure Communications Engineer I
Job Description
What We're Looking For:
The Communications Engineer 1 will manage, implement, and scale the internal telecom infrastructure including hosted and in-house telecom services and associated hardware platforms of a fast-paced, high-growth company. The successful candidate will support the IT Infrastructure team by providing maintenance of telephony systems, and various other platforms to support the internal business users of the company.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Assist with the deployment and configuration of contact center systems and infrastructure.(25%)
- Perform basic troubleshooting and incident resolution for contact center issues.(25%)
- Monitor contact center systems and respond to alerts and incidents.(15%)
- Maintain documentation of contact center systems and procedures.(15%)
- Assist with project planning and execution related to contact center technology initiatives.(15%)
- Provide after-hours support and maintenance as needed. (5%)
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree or 3+ years experience in Information Technology.
- 1+ year(s) of experience managing, implementing, or supporting contact center solutions (CCaaS or UCaaS).
- Fundamental understanding and experience with contact center technologies, including ACD, IVR, CTI, and CRM integrations.
- Familiarity with Twilio, Talkdesk, Five9, Genesys, NICE, or other leading contact center platforms.
- Experience working in project-oriented environments with ticketing and collaboration tools (Salesforce, Zendesk, Confluence, JIRA, Slack).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience assisting in large-scale projects
Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:
- Certifications such as Net+, Sec+, CCENT/CCNA a plus.
While this position is open to remote candidates across the U.S., we will prioritize those who live in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area and who are available to come into our Headquarters in Lanham, MD two days a week.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($70,000 - $80,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
