The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will report into IS&S PMO and will manage IT projects within Allison Transmission with specific focus on IT Infrastructure projects. The candidate should have experience in driving network infrastructure & security projects involving technologies such as; Switching & Routing, Firewalls, Wireless, Virtualization, SaaS solutions, Cloud technology, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and IT lifecycle refresh. This role will provide Project Management functions, managing tasks and timelines, work collaboratively across the company, managing both internal and external resources to ensure timely project implementations and functional adoption.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managed projects with focus towards Scope, Schedule, Cost and Quality
  • Develop and execute project work plans, and revise them as needed to meet changing needs and project management processes and methodology
  • Organize and conduct project team meetings
  • Manage project team members and vendors to deliver projects in a highly outsourced environment working with both on-shore and off-shore resources
  • Facilitate decisions to keep driving towards overall business objectives
  • Actively identify and remove obstacles, waste and distractions that may impact the delivery
  • Report Project Risks and Delivery Deviations (Scope, Cost, Schedule, and Quality) to management and seeks alignment from the Steering Committee prior to implementing mitigation plans
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in PMO process improvement initiatives and support PM onboarding for new staff
  • Embrace a lesson learned attitude and applies learning from one project to the other
  • Uses technical acumen to enable removal of impediments, ask probing questions, and support team in issue resolution
  • Manage Agile and Waterfall projects as per ATI PMO Processes
  • Organizes and facilitates all scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.
  • Used Agile/Waterfall and iterative SDLC methodologies base on project size and comp

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • A motivated, self-starter with project management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously
  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management role

Preferred:

  • Experience in managing IT projects in IT Infrastructure and IT Security
  • Technical background with previous IT systems management responsibilities
  • At least one technical certification (CCNA, MCSE, MC, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, etc)
  • Previous role managing IT Infrastructure projects with deep experience in driving projects involving technologies such as; Switching, Routing, and Wireless deployments and upgrades, Firewall migrations, Virtualization, Cloud technology, VDI, VPN, & IT lifecycle refresh
  • IT Project Management with an IT integrator
  • Project Management training or relevant certifications
  • Scrum Master Training or certification
