IT Intern - Data Solutions

*NOTE* - This position will be located onsite at Gavilon's Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, NE.

Job Summary:

IT Intern candidates may serve on either the Application Development or Data Solutions teams depending upon skill set, current demands and career path. Additionally, individuals may specialize within these teams focusing on specific technologies.

Job Functions:

• Experience with ETL, SQL, Excel, and Data Visualization technologies
• Work closely with the Data Solutions team using Gavilon tools and technologies to analyze data, run reports and work on various data driven projects
• Provide timely and accurate reporting and analytical support for financial, operations and management metrics
• Generate, format, and analyze reports from published data sources
• Utilize Tableau or other analytics software to publish results
• Provide excellent customer services to all internal and external Gavilon departments; understand Gavilon's core business and promotes a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues
• Consistently adhere to and promote all aspects of data governance and data maintenance - keeping the integrity and reliability of data dictionaries and related data product documentation, performing data quality validation, identifying, and resolving data discrepancies
• Experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

• Pursuit of a college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong customer service ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic environment
• Substantial analytical and problem-solving skills
• Sense of ownership, driving resolution of issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
