Title: IT Intern, Technical Operations
Location: Chicago/Downers Grove
Role Description:
As part of the Technical Operations team you will be responsible for monitoring and reacting to alerts and trend analysis to ensure our systems remain available and performing for our customers. Role will involve telemetry, monitoring, alerting, analysis, scripting and automation to not only react to issues but also prevent issues from occurring.
Core Responsibilities:

• Monitor critical systems for alerts and trends.
• Perform initial triage to determine whether systems are experiencing issues.
• Perform scripted resolution or engage additional parties for mitigation.
• Review and adjust monitoring thresholds to avoid false alarms.
• Leverage machine learning where applicable for alerting.
• Add new alerts based on preventative measures identified in root cause analysis.
• Write corrective scripts for repeatable issues for automation to prevent repeat or potential issues.

What are we looking for?

• Must be currently enrolled full-time in technology-related degree program
• Individual should be a rising junior (at minimum) when internship begins
• Proficient in the use of Google Suite products
• Project management and strong executive functioning skills
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with people at all levels
• US work authorization
