IT Manager
Job Description
SciTec is searching for an IT Manager to be responsible and accountable for SciTec's IT infrastructure and end-user computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines and will lead SciTec's IT team in executing these responsibilities. The IT Manager will supervise the implementation and maintenance of SciTec's computing needs in coordination with SciTec's Security and Information Assurance teams.
Responsibilities
- Defining, executing, and directing team efforts to achieve and maintain NIST 800-171 / CMMC and NIST 800-53 RMF accreditations
- Coordinating and leading review boards to define relevant system changes and to assess their impacts to security, contract execution, technical implementations, and continuous monitoring activities
- Executing, assessing, and improving SciTec's Incident Response policies and procedures
- Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT operations across multiple locations and classification levels
- Providing IT support to existing contracts, RFPs, and other initiatives
- Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems
- Contribute to organizational policies and procedures
- Identify and implement strategic solutions
- Preserve assets, information security, and control processes
- Successful candidates will have strong written and communication skills to maintain a relationship with government counterparts and other mission partners
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Candidates must have an active Secret government security clearance
- 5 years of experience specifically supporting the compliance of government or contractor information technology systems under the oversight of the DoD or the Intelligence Community
- 4 year degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or other related field
- Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience including Firewalls, Networking, Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Active Directory, Azure, AWS, DevSecOps, Automation, Configuration Management, EDR, Deployment, Monitoring, and Auditing.
- Experience managing a team
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
- Proficient with standard Microsoft Office Tools
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures.
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- An active TOP SECRET clearance
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Prior successful experience as an IT Manager
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or similar cloud environments

The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $175,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
