About the Role:

AssetWorks is seeking an IT Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the organization's internal IT operations including datacenter infrastructure (servers, networking and storage) in a colocation data center, virtualized environments, patch management, VPN management, data security, disaster recovery, software and hardware supplier management and workstation support. This role involves leading a team of analysts and support personnel ensuring highly reliable IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IT management strategies, policies and procedures aligned with company goals and business objectives.
• Oversee application and infrastructure architecture, design, deployment and management.
• Manage IT hardware and software vendors.
• Ensure the security of the company’s IT systems, data, and assets. Implement and monitor compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulations.
• Lead the development and test of robust operational security practices, incident response procedures and disaster recovery plans.
• Build and lead a high-performing IT services team, providing guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
• Develop and implement data governance processes, including data security, privacy, and compliance.
• Monitoring application, virtualization environments and underlying infrastructure identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Lead IT projects from conception to completion, including system upgrades, hardware and software installations, and technology migrations.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in IT management, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong technical expertise in hardware and software acquisition, support & management.
• Experience with Oracle, VMWare, Cisco and Dell infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of IT project management principles.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors/master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in managing security compliance, including the implementation and maintenance of security measures to uphold SOC2 and ISO 27001 standards.
• Conversant with network management and the broader network ecosystem.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management.
• Experience in penetration testing, IT security planning and incident response.
• Certifications in data management and IT Security. CISO-like experience is a plus.
