Role Summary
Support in the planning, evaluation and implementation of current and future equipment and processes in support of manufacturing engineering and maintenance. Support maintenance and facility requirements as required. Support and potentially lead continuous improvement and new product and process development where required. Ensure the safety of the division, its workforce as well as physical and intellectual property.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing leadership; instilling a sense of urgency; and driving problems towards resolution to ensure the efficient administration of information systems in the following areas:
  • Programing and support of MES Systems
  • Troubleshooting computers/printers/Network problems on all platforms
  • Providing technical back up of systems administrator/security administrator
  • Negotiating and maintaining all hardware/software/information systems service contracts and/or agreements, protecting the interests of Windsor Modules
  • Responding to quality concerns as required
  • Providing production with "fast response" troubleshooting
  • Completing all APQP-related activities, ECR processes, PRP (8D), and all other Quality Management System requirements as needed;
  • Setting and achieving specific goals around Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Ensuring that conflict and productivity issues are managed directly, constructively, and professionally in all circumstances
  • Drive year-over-year continuous improvement initiatives in areas of responsibility.
  • Create an environment that encourages active process improvement discussion in the context of business goals and continuous learning.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Computer Science
  • 3 - 5 years experience as Information Systems Manager within a complex organization, manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years experience in information technology field
  • Well-developed communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership skills (previous supervisory experience, an asset)
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory an asset

Additional Information
Advanced knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Server, Workstation and Active Directory, MCSE Certification or equivalent real world experience required.
  • Networking technologies (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, SAN), CCNA Certification recommended.
  • Database structure and administration.
  • Computer Programing and Operating Systems.
  • Virtual Machine environments (VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V), VMWare Certified Associate Recommended.
  • Microsoft SharePoint administration.
  • MES Systems, InSequence MES experience is a plus.
  • Production Systems, PLC, Torque Controllers, Scanners and Mobile Devices.
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems.
  • Excellent technical negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deal with internal and external service vendors on a regular basis.
  • Experience with internal and external technical audits (ISO, SOX, TISAX, General Controls).
