The Role

As the IT Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring all Ampers have the technology they need, from a reliable laptop and VPN access to secure and efficient networks and systems, and up-close coordination with other departments like HR and Finance. You'll have immediate impact on the daily efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth.

We are growing and expanding, both concerning headcount and global footprint. You'll strengthen the foundation that allows our Corporate IT function to grow through a commitment to automation, reducing friction, and creative and versatile approaches to problem-solving. We've grown quickly and and added a lot of new tools; you'll analyze our needs, identify redundancies and vulnerabilities and make recommendations that ensure our components work together as seamlessly as possible, are using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and solutions to increase our productivity, efficiency, and customer service levels

Interesting Problems
  • You are the recognized owner of a set of projects or services within your team. You will determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other team members, and drive toward results with an eye toward customers.
  • Analyze needs, identify redundancies and vulnerabilities and make recommendations that ensure components work together as seamlessly as possible, are using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and solutions that will increase our productivity, efficiency, and customer service levels.
  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, applications, networks, communication and collaboration systems, laptops, and security tools.
  • Manage business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
  • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory, ensuring we have the right supply at the right time
  • Responsible for user support and help desk function; manage the activities and resources associated with providing technical services to internal customers by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with company property and networked systems.
  • Service queue management: Minimize repeat problems by supporting the usage, maintenance, and growth of the IT knowledge base.
  • Manage the IT procurement and payment services and collaborate in the budget management process.
  • Proactively adapt to a growing business and fast-paced environment
  • Build secure and scalable IT environment through efficient processes and automation
About You
  • A wide breadth of technical knowledge and eagerness to expand knowledge base and skillset.
  • Able to analyze situations requiring an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. You exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • You understand the tradeoffs between needs and leads to solutions that take all of these needs into account.
  • 5-8 years of experience in corporate IT teams
  • You have experience supporting a Mac environment
  • Administrative knowledge of SaaS productivity and collaboration tools (G-Suite, Slack, etc.)
  • Identity provider solutions (Okta or similar)
  • MacOS MDM technology (Addigy or similar)
  • Proficient in selecting, implementing, configuring, testing and deploying solutions
Compensation

Base Salary: $97,000 -$146,000. Within our pay range, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.

Other Cash Incentives: For many of our positions, other cash incentives are also available.

Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity's total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
