IT Manager

Role:

Control Associates, Inc. is the premiere NYC Tri-state Engineering/Industrial Automation firm based in Northern, NJ, and we are looking to hire a Talented Senior IT Manager. Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead strategic and tactical technology driven changes that support business growth, improve business performance, and enhance team effectiveness.
• Responsible for evaluation, recommendation, and proposals for new technologies and architectures relevant to CAI's needs, including cloud platforms for both internal and external customer needs.
• Lead/Manage infrastructure operation and team, and enhance team performance metrics including security, messaging, and help desk/support.
• Manage IT infrastructure; physical, virtual, cloud (including monitoring, patching, and vulnerability management), Protection and security of network, critical business data and systems, support, methodology and repair.
• Be technical lead on Control Associates Cyber Security Program, including the supervision of Cyber Security Protocols, and enhancement/optimization Security Best Practices
• Responsible for all facets of IT sourcing, deployment, and management as well as administration of hardware and software maintenance and support agreements
• Chair IT Committee and participate on Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Incident Response Teams
• Responsible for the interviewing, hiring, training, management, and mentoring processes of all employees within the infrastructure team, including building support teams for 7 days/week
• Create strategies to ensure network survivability, continued performance, continuous upgrade ability, and robust security procedures.
• Manage infrastructure, handle tech budgets, and ensure cost effectiveness across systems
• Infrastructure includes VMware, Windows Server, SQL Server, HTML, Linux/Unix, Office 365 and Active Directory Administration, Scripting, SAN Management, Network/Server Security, administration, and support of phone system

Required:

• 7+ years' leading the operation of a network infrastructure is required, including previous leadership experience, where a person has managed an infrastructure team, (assigning roles, training, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement).
• This senior resource must be a critical thinker and intellectually curious, one who seeks out technology solutions for our business, one who continuously learns about new technology/applications, hardware, and tools required to support our dynamic business.
• Must have expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations.
• Must be able to successfully lead in a dynamic environment where customer needs and company priorities change quickly
• Must be able to shift priorities quickly while maintaining visibility and control of existing priorities, initiatives, and resources
• Bachelor's degree required, preferred degree in IT/Technology or BA/BS (non tech) degree with applicable industry/technology experience. Preferred: Master's degree in IT related field
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• This Senior Resource will be based out of our Allendale, NJ headquarters, this is not a remote or hybrid role.

• VMware

• Microsoft 365
• NIST, CIS or other Cyber Security Methodologies
• Active Directory / Azure AD
• Azure/AWS Cloud Platform Administration
