POSITION: IT Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Baxter Healthcare Corporation is seeking an IT Manager with the following duties:

• Contribute to and execute on IT strategy to ensure alignment with organization goals and objectives;
• Maintain holistic view of the organization strategy, processes, information and technology assets;
• Partner with business and technology subject experts to translate business requirements in to solutions and initiatives;
• Present to stakeholders on how architectural options will meet their needs;
• Monitor and analyze industry technology and market trends to determine potential impact or application for organization;
• Participate in digital strategy decisions and provide digital business model consulting within IT teams;
• Help business leaders think through the technology, business and operational implications of their technology investment decisions;
• Develop strategic technology plans and roadmaps, including business capability planning and application portfolio management;
• Oversee design, integration, and management of complex infrastructure solutions. Lead and facilitate the software development lifecycle of IT solutions/platforms to drive quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in assigned Baxter Global Business Units (GBUs) and Functions;
• Manage direct reports and negotiate with business and technical groups.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 7 years of related experience
• Will accept any level of experience in the following skills:
  • Understand healthcare therapies, technologies, environments, and regulations (including clinics, hospital rooms, surgical equipment, telecare, GDPR, HIPAA) to support IT capabilities required to develop, launch, sell, install, and support healthcare products;
  • Perform Business Requirements Analysis and Business Process Modelling to understand the current state operating model and IT architecture and define the future state;
  • Design, integrate, and manage complex infrastructure solutions including ERP systems while considering user experience channels, hosting, databases, storage, monitoring, availability, scalability, network, and security (must know: Web and Mobile apps, AWS, MS SQL, S3, CloudWatch, Elastic Load Balancer, Internet Gateway, MuleSoft, OKTA);
  • Align IT strategy and roadmap with Business strategy by planning initiatives in ServiceNow SPM that align data and application architecture to business architecture, synchronize shadow systems, manual work, and policy and procedures;
  • Strong understanding of corporate technologies and trends (including: Service Oriented Architecture, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Customer-centric business model, Internet of Things, Data Warehousing, Cloud Architecture, Software as a Service, and Continual Service Improvement) to implement innovative and competitive IT solutions aligned to business strategy;
  • Develop business unit/capability mappings and technical blueprints using Visio/PowerPoint to enable business planning and issue analysis, and prioritize high-yield process improvement opportunities;
  • Understand business objects and define associated information concepts to establish a consistent vocabulary across the enterprise and guide application data architecture;
  • Build IT initiative project charters including Project Scope, risk analysis, budgets, execution work breakdown structure, software development methodology, project milestones, resources required, and SLAs;
  • Contribute to technology, product, and vendor selection to deliver the needs of the business;
  • Lead comprehensive analysis of applications including technical and business fit and Total Cost of Ownership to support decisions about the future state IT architecture.
• Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 40% remote work allowed. Up to 10% domestic or international travel required.

Competitive compensation and benefits.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $122,990 - $204,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
