IT Manager
Job Description
Job Summary:

• Lead and manage the West IT Support Specialists to ensure desired outcomes are accomplished
• Ensure the West IT Department operates efficiently and effectively, collaborating with Center IT to implement new policies and procedures.
• Manage the West IT budget and continuously look for ways to streamline operations and efficiencies.
• Coordinate and serve as the direct supervisor of assigned team. Direct the efforts of team members to fulfill service responsibilities, objectives, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team.
o Ensure all agency and department procedures are followed:
o Utilize team members' strengths and help them improve weaknesses;
o Foster communication within the team concerning IT policies, procedures, and best practices / process improvements;
o Promote teamwork;
o Prepare and deliver, timely performance appraisals for those associates directly supervised; comply with the Lockton Performance Improvement process; Maintain Associate Dashboard; Provide development, coaching, and disciplinary action when appropriate.
o Lead in the interviewing and hiring process for new IT Associates. Coordinate the orientation of new IT associates and determine areas of training needed to assist new associates in acclimating to the Lockton culture and developing needed skills for the position.
• Identify and develop strategies on how to better service and support the IT Department with an eye toward continuous improvement.
• Lead and serve as a point of contact for implementation of series wide IT initiatives, procedures, and processes.
• Effectively direct and assign projects for team members.
• Communicate with Lockton Associates and Information Technology staff in a positive manner. Set the example as a leader in the unit/department. Lead by example in times of change.
• Provide escalation support to Information Technology associates for support requests from associates.
• Lead and provide guidance Lockton Information Technology staff to troubleshoot, configure, and deploy hardware and solutions in coordination with Center IT resources.
• Provide consulting and training on IT systems and services to Lockton team
• Stay current on new system procedures and processes, software capabilities, cloud services and other insurance technologie
• Attend company and department meetings, relevant industry training, appropriate industry functions, and social events as required.
• Comply with Lockton procedures and policies; make decisions in compliance with established standards of quality, performance, and service.
• Protect the confidentiality of information learned while providing support and help protect confidential client information
• Comply with Lockton Procedures and policie
• Responsible for regular and punctual attendance
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Seven or more years of professional IT support experience and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and/or networking required
• Two or more years of prior experience leading or managing teams of people
• Prior experience in process improvement and implementation management
• High Proficiency with Microsoft systems, including Windows, Office, Teams,
• Extensive experience with virtual desktop environment
• Extensive experience managing Microsoft 365, Entra, Exchange and Active Directory
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment which may weigh up to 25 pound
• Ability to work on equipment whether it is on the floor, on a desk, or in a computer rack
• Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines required. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed
• Strong Project management skills required with the ability to oversee and delegate assigned projects.
• Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility, along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
• Ability/willingness to interact with associates and vendors on a professional level to address issues that produce optimum results in a timely manner
• Legally able to work in the United State
