Job Description

The Manager of Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for strategy, collaboration with other technology teams, and acts as an escalation point for any operational issues resulting from outages or issues with overall infrastructure system performance. This role will work as part of a diverse and exciting cross-functional team to manage a modern technology infrastructure across public and private cloud such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Kubernetes. As an active and visible member of the Infrastructure and Operations leadership team, the Manager of Cloud Infrastructure contributes thought leadership for strategies to improve overall operational support through strategic partnerships and cutting-edge technologies.

How You'll Spend Your Time

You will be responsible for leading a high energy IT engineering team.

You will manage core infrastructure technologies and ensure operational excellence to enable BOK Financial to compete and win in the financial services vertical.

You will ensure BOKF technology systems are stable and available to internal and external customers in accordance with established service level objectives.

You will oversee design of servers, storage devices and network devices to meet business needs.

You will identify solutions through collaboration with appropriate management levels, technology departments and technology vendors to ensure that a cost-effective and efficient infrastructure enables bank operations.

You will manage resources to install storage, networks and systems infrastructure.

You will oversee upgrades and lead research efforts for potential solutions to complex business technology problems.

You will minimize productivity loss caused by technology outages and provide necessary infrastructure for clients to meet their business needs.

You will work with PMO & Enterprise Architecture teams to develop budget estimates and resource prioritization to ensure technology is delivered on time and within budget.

Education & Experience Requirements

The required level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in a related field or equivalent work experience of 15+ years in a related environment.

Expert supervisory /management skills, with a demonstrated history of people management

Extensive process driven and continuous improvement skills with strong communication, including oral, written and influencing skills

Ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence and to define technical requirements from business requirements

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability to define, prioritize, schedule and monitor multiple technical activities and efforts

Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas in a non-technical way at all levels

Excellent vendor management skills including relationship and negotiating

Thorough understanding of distributed IT systems architecture and comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines

Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

Working experience with cloud technologies desired

Strong creativity, self-motivated

Demonstrable competency in strategic planning

Excellent project management skills
