IT Network Operations Engineer

Join the IaaS - Network DevOps team and help us deliver outstanding services to Unity teams around the world.

Are you a skilled developer with a keen sense for streamlined deployment and network operations, or a versatile system administrator with a passion for coding and scripting? As a Network Engineer at Unity Technologies IT Engineering, you will work with new and emerging technologies while supporting our global teams.

This includes multi-location hosting, highly available solutions, containers, application management, operations, and automation. Your input and ideas will be transformed into the multifaceted IT infrastructure at Unity. The infrastructure consists of a mixture of containers and VMs, in an ever-evolving multi-cloud environment, as well as physical and virtual networking appliances.. We use a combination of open-source as well as proprietary software and hardware to support our operations.

An efficient and scalable Network DevOps Engineer organization is integral to enabling Unity’s engineering teams to build cutting edge software used by millions of developers worldwide.

What you'll be doing

• Engage with internal customers through our Service Portal
• Collaborate with users to build solutions.
• Improve and maintain our internal infrastructure
• Rapid deployment using infrastructure-as-code
• Addressing, isolating and repairing performance problems or other issues affecting the efficiency of the operations

What we're looking for

• Experience working in a cloud environment (GCP, AWS or Azure)
• Familiarity with automation tooling, such as Jenkins, Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficient in modern scripting or programming languages such as Python or Golang
• Interest in constantly improving our processes, code and infrastructure
• Hands on experience with NGFWs, BGP and IPSec

You might also have

• Comfortable troubleshooting in Linux/Unix environments
• A deep background in standard Protocols (DNS, IPv6, SMTP)
• Experience working in a worldwide organization, communicating across multiple time zones and asynchronously.
