We are seeking a IT Network & Security Technician to join our team.
The IT Network and Security Technician is an individual contributor with demonstrated technical expertise and operational skills. The Security Technician will be able handle daily security operations functions which include supporting all relevant security toolsets and processes. This position will report into the Director of Sec ops. Individual contributor with demonstrated advanced technical expertise, interest, enthusiasm, and capability to learn.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist management in developing and implementing plans which support the company's IT vision, direction and strategy as well as participate in annual budget, priority and resource requirements.
• Reasonable experience responding to all IT related requests and provide courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues.
• Some capabilities surrounding IT functions including Incident and Problem Management.
• Some experience assisting in the design of processes to track all operational standard processes.
• Provide input on existing technologies and assist in the evaluation of new hardware & software.
• Some negotiation skills allowing the candidate to partner with company and help others how to do the same.
• Help with customer requirements; cares about relationships w/ customers.
• Follow priorities for personal queues and requests based on business need.
• Appropriate manage escalated issues; update the team on solution & implementation.
• Participate with 3rd party providers to resolve/repair issues.
• Maintain, and update IT skills based on current technology.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Some experience with virtual software automation and related technologies for Imprivata to consider for advancing Imprivata' s business competitiveness
• Provide technical input in software engineering environment technology domains to help Imprivata stay on the leading edge of technology.
• Participate on project teams designing advanced security technologies to include management & maintenance with systems & environments.
• Document concepts in technical or operational documents.
• Tier 1 & 2 level of escalation for important and varied issues
• Solid understanding and experience with traditional business technologies and foundational execution skills and specific areas of technical depth.
• Solid resource for all of our offices and off-shore development teams as well as providing mid-level support to our software development teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related professional experience, and at least 3-7 years of related technical experience.
• Foundational analytical skills to assess and troubleshoot complex system problems.
• Foundational expertise with a specific of technical services and technologies.
• Solid experience with Firewalls, Patch Management, Windows servers, clients, Linux, and Mac OS.
• Solid experience with security tools such as av, encryption and vulnerability scanners.
• Basic technical expertise with scripting languages and automation tools.
• Analytical and strategic skills with some understanding of lifecycle management.
• Experience writing technical documentation and policies
• Solid interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening to requirements as well as solid verbal and documentation skills
• Reasonable relationship management and performance management skills
• Team player - someone who is as interested in other's success as your own with a passion for providing world-class service.
