What You Will Do

The IT Operations Administrator is responsible for overseeing Biosero’s cloud infrastructure, implementing security systems and policies, and managing the hardware lifecycle. This role includes ensuring seamless IT operations that support both internal teams and customer integration projects. The IT Operations Administrator will also collaborate with vendors and engage in IT governance activities, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the operational excellence and security posture of Biosero’s technology ecosystem.

Responsibilities 

Cloud Infrastructure Management: 

  • Deploy, manage, and maintain cloud-based systems and services, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance. 

  • Optimize IT expenditure while safeguarding system performance and security integrity. 

Security Governance and Policy Enforcement: 

  • Apply BICO IT and Biosero IT Security governance locally. 

  • Develop, enforce, and monitor security policies and systems, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. 

  • Conduct regular security training and awareness programs, and respond to security incidents diligently. 

User Account Administration: 

  • Oversee the IT aspects of onboarding new employees, including requirement collection, setup, and deployment of IT resources. 

IT Hardware Procurement and Management: 

  • Identify hardware needs, select suitable vendors, negotiate terms, and manage hardware inventories. 

  • Install, configure, test, and maintain Biosero IT hardware, ensuring it operates according to company requirements and service standards. 

IT Support for Customer Integration Projects: 

  • Collaborate with clients' IT departments to configure and monitor Biosero-supplied hardware, ensuring alignment with project specifications and business needs. 

Internal Technical Support: 

  • Provide first and second-tier support to resolve internal technical issues, maintaining system integrity and guiding staff on IT resource utilization. 

  • Deploy and troubleshoot IT solutions such as software and hardware. 

  • Ensure network operations and on-site building operations run smoothly and comply with service level agreements (SLAs). 

  • Support IT security initiatives and participate in professional development activities to stay current with technology trends. 

Vendor Relationship Management: 

  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services. 

  • Resolve any vendor-related issues and ensure alignment with Biosero’s operational requirements. 

IT Audit and Compliance: 

  • Conduct and support IT audits, addressing IT-specific queries during client audits. 

  • Assist in ISO 27001 compliance preparation, including developing a penetration testing schedule. 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and prioritize issues. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Familiarity with data governance, system security, and industry best practices. 

  • Experience with system installation, configuration, and maintenance. 

  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization. 

  • Experience with biotech-specific software and technologies is a plus, but not mandatory. 

Educational Requirements 

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Certified: IT Professional, Cisco Certified Network Associate) preferred. 

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range is $70,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include 401K with company match, Flexible Vacation Policy, Health Benefits, Investment in Professional and Personal Development, and much more.
