IT Operations Analyst - Remote

Job Summary

The IT Operations Analyst is responsible for analysis and assessment of daily operational metrics, reports and projects servicing our clients needs. This position will focus on developing and maintaining operational procedures with high level analytical thinking.

Essential Functions:

• The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
• Provide analysis and metrics to support clients:
  - Primary focus on continuous improvement to support needs and demands of clients.
  - Update process and procedures and assist with implementation and ongoing support to teams as requested by Leadership.
  - Assess situations quickly and create short-term solutions with long-term plans for improvement based on input from others combined with discoveries from data analysis. (25%)
• Design, Create, and Implement custom software jobs to facilitate the automation of IT Operations processing, utilizing Visual Cron, SQL, PowerShell, batch command files, file transfer protocols, Job processing logic and interaction across all required platforms, including appropriate logging, notification processing, and restart logic. (20%)
• Address points of escalation by identifying root cause and analysis related to the day-to-day operations with Customer Service, Claims Processing and other areas impacting Operations. (15%)
• Review X12 837,835,834,270,271, 278 and other transaction types involved in batch processing to debug errors that occur in processing. (10%)
• Generate reports based on metrics and data to identify trends and strategically partner with department leaders on communications with clients and teams with a focus on current triggers including processes, procedures, and impact. (10%)
• Design, Create, and streamline operational processes, assisted by Senior IT Business Analyst, as needed. Make recommendations for improvements. (10%)
• Participate in calls and meetings as requested with clients and leadership and serve as a Subject Matter Expert reading and reporting data in order to make necessary decisions. (10%)

Required Work Experience and Qualifications:

• 2+ years related work experience.
• Advanced knowledge and significant experience working in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Strong oral and written presentation/communication skills
• Comfortable working across operational areas within the organization, and in direct contact with clients
• Able to work in ambiguity and present information in a way for others to understand.
• Must handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

Required Management Experience:

• No supervisory/management experience required.

Required Education:

• Related Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, MIS or Engineering or additional related equivalent work experience.

Preferred Education and Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• Claims, Eligibility, Finance or Plan building backgrounds a plus.

General Physical Demands:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
