IT Operations Engineer

As an IT Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and support of systems such as JAMF, Google Workspace, OKTA, and Microsoft Intune. You will have worked with OKTA or a comparable identity platform to deploy and tackle single sign-on integrations with various SaaS platforms and understand the complexities of doing so. You will be an escalation point for Level 1 support staff, assisting with access-based requests that come through our ITSM system (Jira) on a periodic basis. You are highly technical and are comfortable problem solving across a range of devices. You're a fast learner and superb communicator who can support the technology needs of various groups within the organization. The ability to effectively communicate and detail your work is critical to your success!
What You'll Do

• Coordinate and maintain existing device management frameworks (Jamf, Intune) and identity management solutions (OKTA)
• Support Google Workspace configuration and mailbox management including email routing, spam filtering (SPF/DMARC), and forensics
• Work on cross-org projects to bring new SaaS applications under the Okta umbrella
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the Level 1 support team as well as multi-functional teams
• Assist the support team with managing the lifecycle of systems (macOS/iOS, Windows)
• Automate various user lifecycle tasks via API using Okta Workflows and/or script

What You Have

• 2+ years using Google Workspace on an administrator level
• 2+ years of experience testing, implementing and fixing SSO integrations (SAML, SCIM, OAUTH, WS-FED/WS-TRUST) in Okta or similar identity platform
• Familiarity with recent releases of macOS and remote management practices
• Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Shell
• macOS system (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration experience
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
• Strong problem solving, organization, and project management skills, with a willingness and desire to take responsibility, accountability, and ownership
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent ability to build documentation

Bonus Points

• Experience interacting with various APIs for provisioning purposes
• Experience with Okta and implementing single sign-on applications using SAML and SCIM
• Hands-on experience with Okta Workflows
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, Active Directory, Google Workspace, Okta, Jamf, Microsoft Intune & Azure, and other SaaS enterprise cloud-based services

The base salary at the time of hire for this position is expected to be between $98,550 - $164,500. Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits, and successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
