Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Organization Design Strategist to lead the development and implementation of organizational structures and strategies that align our clients IT Organization with the broader business objectives with a customer-centric focus. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT operations, organizational behavior, and strategic planning, with a proven track record of driving organizational change and optimizing IT effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organizational Design and Strategy:
- Lead the design and restructuring of the IT organization to align with business goals, enhance operational efficiency, and support digital transformation initiatives.
- Develop and implement organizational strategies that optimize resource allocation, improve communication, and foster collaboration across IT teams.
2. Change Management:
- Design and execute change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during organizational restructuring or new initiative rollouts.
- Engage with key stakeholders to manage expectations and mitigate resistance to organizational changes.
3. Business and IT Alignment:
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic goals and ensure that the IT organization is structured to support these objectives.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the alignment of IT services and capabilities with business needs.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IT and business leaders, acting as a strategic advisor on organizational design and development.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and communication strategies to engage stakeholders throughout the design and implementation process.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
5. Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to streamline IT processes, reduce redundancies, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the IT organization.
- Implement best practices and frameworks to ensure continuous improvement in organizational performance.
6. Cultural Transformation:
- Lead efforts to shape and sustain a positive, innovative, and collaborative IT culture that supports the organization's values and strategic goals.
- Develop and implement initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the IT department.
7. Performance Measurement:
- Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of organizational design initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of the IT organizational structure and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex organizational challenges and develop effective solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in IT strategy, organizational design, or a related field, with a strong background in leading organizational change initiatives.
- 7+ years of experience change management methodologies and practices, with experience in leading large-scale transformation projects.
- 7+ years of project management experience
- MBI background check required (Includes: Background check, credit check, tax record check)
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Prosci, ITIL) are preferred.
