IT PLM Solution Architect - Windchill

Job Description

The IT Application team is looking for an PLM Windchill Architect with expertise in Engineering, Manufacturing and Supplier Collaboration to play a key role in supporting, designing, implementing, and managing the applications.

Core activities will include gathering and defining requirements, configuration of standard applications, gap analysis, functional technical design of application extensions, and end user support for multiple modules, across geographies, to support the business operations.

This role will be responsible for and have significant influence, over a portion of projects in the Application Portfolio.

• Responsible for securing IT architectural compliance for Windchill Solution following PTC best practices and Advantest Group architectural frameworks
• Responsible as an architect for both one time and regular maintenance projects
• Work closely with Business users on process improvements
• Responsible for integrating, maintaining and supporting ERP, MCAD ECAD applications with PLM
• Lead the implementation, validation and deployment of PLM solutions to address business requirements
• Be part of, guide and support the external Windchill development teams to deliver the best solutions in line with Solution centric architectural decisions
• Drive the work needed for integrations with other applications together with their representatives
• Responsible for business administration in PTC Windchill
• Maintain and support Workgroup manager
• Maintain source code versioning system (GIT)
• Work and manage the external PLM support companies
• Review and manage the Agile sprint deployment cycles

Requirements

• Bachelors or master's degree in Computer Science / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education and experience
• 3+ years of experience in PLM domain
• Strong experience with PTC Windchill 11.1
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing process management and their collaboration
• Broad knowledge of 3D CAD, PLM Platforms, and tools (Preferably PTC)
• Experience in Workgroup Manager, ECAD and MCAD Integrations
• Knowledge in handling light weight data, workflow management, BOM Context management
• Experience in leading the design, development, implementation, validation and deployment of scalable Windchill solutions
• Experience in Cloud setup is beneficial
• Ability to integrate all architectural disciplines (Process, Data, Application, Integration Technology)
• Experience in working with Databases (SQL Server, Oracle Database)
• Should have a strong business focus and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the business
• Ability to translate and balance functional and non-functional business requirements into sustainable and cost-efficient solution design
• Good analytical skills in solving technical issues
• Good self-management and coordination skills
• Fluent English communication skills: verbal, written
• Experience in creating functional / technical documentation
• Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work in cross functional teams
• Experience in working effectively with people, across multiple levels, multiple cultures, and time zones
• Strong Project management skills
• Good self-management and coordination skills
• Good communicator and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel across different Advantest sites
