Job Description

We're seeking a strategic minded, passionate Product Manager to join the LabCorp Patient product team. This person will contribute to the overall strategy and will lead translating the strategy into an executable plan. They will think holistically and demonstrate a passion for delivering a superior customer experience balanced with driving operational efficiencies for Labcorp in delivering our core services. The scope of the product portfolio includes all patient facing applications such as web and mobile apps and self-service kiosks.

The Product Manager will be responsible for interacting with business and technical stakeholders to translate the strategic direction into designs considering market best practices and competitive experiences within and outside of Healthcare. You will be responsible for considering all aspects and guiding the team to the outcomes that best serve our customers and Labcorp. You will make judgments and recommendations based on data, analysis and knowledge. You will then ensure the proper translation of the vision and design to the execution team, and delivery of the intended experience and value to market.

This job requires a high-level understanding of software development lifecycle, complex product management processes including roadmap development, new feature design and development, software industry, project management, and user experience design.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the translation of the product strategy to a detailed product vision and design for the execution team.
  • Effectively collaborate with all stakeholders in the development of designs including business stakeholders, UX, development, marketing.
  • Engage in frequent communication with business stakeholders for gathering requirements and making recommendations. Be able to explain gaps and technical concepts for an often nontechnical audience.
  • Conduct market analysis to inform the product design understanding competitive features and opportunities to leap frog Labcorp's position.
  • Develop and maintain roadmaps reflecting the strategy and execution plan.
  • Work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical team, facilitating cross-department communication.
  • Serve as the main information resource for feature definition and scope specific questions.
  • Own KPI development and performance management with a tenacious focus on delivering tangible results. Be action oriented when assessing performance driving continuous improvement, engagement, patient satisfaction and operational efficiencies.
  • Stay apprised of the latest technologies and innovations in web/mobile application technologies and online video.
  • Consistently meet agreed-upon deadlines or escalate issues, concerns and barriers to key project leaders. Be a force in driving value to market at an accelerated pace.
  • Prepare formal presentations to socialize and gain alignment on strategic initiatives, design and their business value.
  • Contribute to business case and return on investment preparation.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in a Product Manager role working with complex digital products.
  • Keen understanding and experience of product engineering and product management process using agile methodology.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Critical thinking and decision making skills based on experience, metrics and insights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Highly skilled at facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Experience in healthcare, consumer solutions are highly preferred.
  • Broad technical exposure with the ability to learn new technology tools and concepts quickly.
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience with project life-cycle management tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
  • Must be able and willing to travel as required (Approx. 15% domestic)
  • Bachelor's degree required
