Job Description

This position is for a Subscriptions Management Product Owner and Delivery Lead within the Video Security & Access Control Digital Operations team. The VS&A Digital Operations team is committed to delivering a new platform that will accelerate new recurring revenue offer types.

In this role you will help define, influence and guide our vision to bring more subscription-based “as-a-service” offers to market. Your efforts will help position Motorola Solutions with the leading portfolio of fixed video security & access control solutions. This is a highly visible role and is an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent thought leadership, business acumen, product management and communication skills.

As a Subscriptions Management Product Owner, you will partner with leaders across business functions and IT to build a new subscription management platform and have an opportunity to integrate multiple VS&A brands into a single lead-to-cash ecosystem. You will drive Offer Management teams to think big and ensure end results that allow a multi-branded business to go to market with systems that provide a world class customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Product Owner/Manager as well as working knowledge of lead to cash systems and subscription management systems.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for defining and influencing the product vision for the Subscriptions Management platform for internal and external stakeholders

  • Developing and implementing a product strategy: This includes identifying offer types that can be enabled on the platform, setting guardrails for new product introductions, developing key customer touch points for self-service and setting target goals.

  • Collaborate with and coach a team of architects, consultants, developers and operations teams to manage the end to end delivery of programs and projects.

  • Identifying customer needs: Product owners are responsible for understanding customer needs and incorporating that knowledge into product development and marketing efforts.

  • Analyzing and reporting on product performance: Product owners use data and analytics to track product performance, identify areas of improvement, and make decisions about future product development.

  • Managing a product budget: Product owners are responsible for managing the budget for their product line, including forecasting future expenses and revenues.

  • Communicating with stakeholders: Product owners need to communicate effectively with stakeholders such as customers, shareholders, and other internal teams to keep them informed about product development and performance.

  • Drive organizational change management as we transform to a business driven by recurring revenue models

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Proven ability to present technical solutions effectively to diverse audiences

  • In-depth knowledge and experience working with CRM, CPQ, ERP, Subscription Management and other lead to cash systems

  • Ability to manage a budget comprised of capital, one-time and recurring expenses

  • A finely tuned ability to manage risk and proactively seek out potential roadblocks

  • Outstanding communication skills and problem solving skills

  • Passion for world class customer experiences

  • Desire and willingness to seek out requirements that are spoken and unspoken

  • Fundamental understanding of organizational change management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (12 years overall) work experience

  • 5-7 years experience of hands-on ownership of implementation and delivery; could include product ownership/management, business analysis, technology implementation in full life-cycle CRM/ERP efforts

  • 3+ years of experience with lead to cash platforms like Salesforce and SAP

  • 2+ years of experience with subscription management platforms like Zuora, Salesforce, or similar platform

  • 2+ years experience in leading teams either directly or indirectly

Basic Requirements
