IT Program Director

Position Overview: 

As an experienced IT Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing Outset’s Information Technology programs and initiatives, as well as acting as a liaison between IT and functional business units. Your role will be crucial in managing and leading cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of IT projects within scope, budget, and timeline. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, identifying their technology needs, and working with IT teams to deliver solutions that meet those needs. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and work to align IT initiatives with the overall organizational strategy and goals. 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other IT leaders to ensure that project priorities are aligned with overall IT strategy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in various business units to understand their 
  technology needs and challenges.
• Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams, ensuring that IT initiatives are aligned with business 
  objectives.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for IT initiatives that supports the organization's strategic goals.
• Partner with IT delivery teams to develop solutions that meet business needs, ensuring that solutions are 
  scalable and cost-effective.
• Partner with IT leadership to define overall Enterprise Architecture, shaping the overall landscape of enterprise 
  business systems.
• Define and develop IT policies and procedures 
• Monitor and report on the progress of IT initiatives, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and 
  to the satisfaction of stakeholders. 
• Advocate for business units within the IT department, ensuring that their needs are understood and addressed. 
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure that the program's goals 
  and objectives are understood and achieved.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive program plan and schedule for major IT projects and initiatives, 
  including timelines, milestones, and dependencies. 
• Oversee the execution of multiple IT projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, budget, and timeline. 
• Manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring they are aligned with the program goals and objectives. 
• Manage project budgets, ensuring they are in line with the program's financial objectives. 
• Develop and maintain project status reports, metrics, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the 
  program's success. 
• Ensure that project risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. 
• 8+ years of experience managing IT programs and projects and acting as a liaison between business units and IT 
  teams. 
• Experience leading large scale IT initiatives and/or system implementations. 
• Strong leadership and team management skills. 
• Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall. 
• Experience managing budgets and financial reporting. 
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), facilitation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly 
  communicate in a dynamic environment across all levels.
• Ability to manage a variety of constituencies with competing priorities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills and the ability to exercise mature judgment and 
  structured decision-making. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices. 

Desired Qualifications 

• Working knowledge of ERP Systems (e.g. QAD, SAP, NetSuite, etc.) 
• PMP, ITIL, or other project management certifications preferred 
• Experience with business process mapping, solution design and implementation 
• Experience enabling business process automation through workflows and automation tools 
• Working knowledge of system integrations, including middleware platforms such as Boomi, Mulesoft, Informatica 
• Experience managing systems and data in compliance with regulatory requirements, (e.g. FDA, SOX, HIPAA). 
• Experience with Information Security principles and best practices.
