Job Overview
The IT Program Manager position is responsible for managing large and/or complex programs and projects. These programs or projects may require a large amount of resources across IT and operations, multiple vendors, and new technologies to implement into production. This position may manage programs or projects in the areas of new facilities and acquisitions, digital engagement and transformation, new Epic EHR solutions, IT infrastructure, new clinical applications or optimizations.
The IT Program Manager is responsible to define areas of responsibility including resource allocations, influencing sponsors and managing work prioritization. The position plays an active role in making decisions involving human resources, technical and financial resources necessary to implement programs or projects. The position will design processes and structures to support AltaMed enterprise wide change. The IT Program Manager is expected to work autonomously with regards to project management methodology. Through collaboration, demonstrate team leadership while focusing on items that will have project outcome implications other than expected.
The IT Program Manager is a contributor of early engagement, project gap analysis and operational change management. This will include project lifecycle delivery, promoting successful relationship management and customer adoption. They are expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management lifecycle methodology. They are assigned to medium to large projects and can manage concurrent projects. The role is a key contributor in the development of the organization's growth, innovation, infrastructure, and digital transformation strategy and is responsible and accountable for delivering the best-practice approach designed to successfully plan and prepare for all aspects of project engagement, delivery and adoption within the assigned portfolio.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field or Equivalent Professional Experience required.
2. Master's degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience preferred.
3. Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience required.
4. Minimum of 5 years of experience with strong functional understanding of hospital, clinic, IT infrastructure, or billing operations preferred.
5. Project Management Institute's PMP certification preferred.
6. Project Management experience in a Health care environment preferred.
7. Large scale project management experience preferred
Experience with Epic EHR implementations and methodology preferred.

Salary Range
$97,760.00 - $147,045.60 annually
